St.Croix Villa 1

This stunning St. Croix estate has been featured in Architectural Digest, celebrating its unique historic charms and its beautiful majestic setting. Painstakingly restored and built around an old stone windmill from long-ago sugar cane plantation days, it is set like a jewel atop a breezy knoll and surrounded by rolling green acres of privacy in an unspoiled nature conservancy. The grand entry hall invites you into this stunning villa, elegantly furnished with original art and antiques and accented by treasures and collections from Indonesia and from other world travels. The Great Room incorporates part of the stone mill; a few steps up into the mill itself brings you to the gourmet kitchen, fully equipped with a Viking gas range and lots of space in which to create delectable snacks and meals. 

Bordering the Great Room is a covered alfresco dining pavilion; a few steps below is a grilling patio and the blue-tiled pool and sun deck. These areas enjoy breathtaking limitless views of St. Croix's North Shore and the deep blue expanse of ocean beyond. A handcrafted teak staircase spirals up within the stone mill to two separate and very private air-conditioned bedroom/bath suites (one king and one queen), which offer even longer-distance views from their high vantage point and cooling trade winds. The romantic, air-conditioned master suite features a West Indian four-poster king bed, a large bath and a roofed alfresco sitting room for private moments; this suite is on the main level, right across the entry hall from the Great Room. The fourth air-conditioned bedroom suite has a queen bed and a full bath; it lies a few steps below the main floor, and has its own private entry. Just off the pool deck is the fifth bedroom, a private sleeping cabana with your choice of two twin beds or a queen, air-conditioned, and with its own tiled bath. A few steps from your bed and you're in the pool for a refreshing morning swim. All luxury custom bed linens are freshly ironed for your comfort.
